“ Don’t worry Lucy, we will find her”

It’s been one week since baby Nashi was kidnapped. It’s been one week of Natsu beating himself up on not being able to stop those awful people from taking his little girl and it’s been one week of Lucy feeling completely out of her element with only her Spirits to guide her. After all, Natsu and the guild won’t let her search for Nashi in her pregnant condition. Everyone in Fairy Tail has been looking for their little dragon princess and yet no traces have been found. Six of the Dragon slayers Wendy, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue, Laxus, and Cobra have looked throughout the whole kingdom of Fiore. Natsu couldn’t search, someone needed to be with Lucy at a time like this.

“Dammit! Why couldn’t I save her,” Natsu asked himself for the millionth time. Every day, he and Lucy wake up to this awful reality.

“Natsu, what if they hurt her? She’s just a baby! She’s scared and alone! You have to go after them. You just have to! Please!!! She’s our daughter,” Lucy cried to Natsu as she was struggling to move from the bed.

Natsu gently pushed her down back onto the bed and hugged her as close as he could with her stomach in the way. Lucy’s right Natsu thought to himself, he had to go after them. In the moment of need, Happy appeared.
Natsu leaves Lucy resting on the bed and gently moves into the next room with Happy following him.

“ Natsu, how’s Lucy?” Happy asked with concern for his friends clearly evident.

“She’s a wreck. I don’t know how much stress she can take Happy. Buddy, do you think you can do me a favor?” Natsu asked, hoping that Happy would be fast enough.

“ Aye Sir!” Happy listened to Natsu’s instructions. He would do anything for him.

“ I need you to go back to the guild and get Mira-Jane and Erza. They need to stay here with Lucy. I need her protected while I go find Nashi.” I will find her

Natsu was running around their home packing medicine, clothes, food and a picture of his family while Happy flew back to the guild. Natsu quietly went to the bedroom and looked at Lucy with complete love and devotion. He kissed Lucy on the cheek gently to rouse her before he leaves.

“ Lucy, I promise you I will bring Nashi home. You just rest and try to stay calm. I’ll be back with her in my arms.” Natsu left quickly before Lucy could fully awaken. Natsu left the house just in time to see Happy arrive with Mira and Erza. He knew with them watching Lucy, he would have nothing to worry about. After all, The She- Demon and The Queen of the Fairies are two of the strongest women in Fairy Tail.

“ Protect her with your lives because she is mine.” Natsu ordered to them, after looking back at the house one last time, Natsu left.

A few hours later, Lucy awoke in an empty room. She heard the noise of pots and pans clinking in the kitchen. Oh no. Please tell me Natsu’s not trying to cook again. Lucy walks into the kitchen and sees Mira Jane cooking some pasta and Erza eating a cake.

“ Hey guys.. what are you doing here?” Mira stops cooking and walks to Lucy.

“ Natsu went to look for Nashi and asked us to watch over you in case something happens with the baby.”

“ What! Without telling me! I know I said he should, but she should have told me first. He didn’t say good-bye, he could get hurt and- OW” Lucy grabbed her stomach as a sharp pain disturbed her. Lucy’s breath starts to shorten and sweat breaks out.

“ Oh god- oh god. I’m going to lose both of them. I can’t lose both of them. Erza, you have to find Natsu. Ple- please. He- Help hi-him.” Lucy begs Erza with her weak breath. Each word sounded so short and so forced. Mira- Jane, not wanting to see Lucy stress out, came up to her and hugged her gently.

“ Lucy, the best thing you can do to help Natsu is to rest. You have a baby to take care of. So please rest.” Mira placed her hand on Lucy’s forehead and silently casts a sleeping spell. Erza caught Lucy before she hit the ground.

Mira Jane felt bad for using her power on Lucy, but without doing so, she would risk the health of the baby. Erza carried Lucy back to the bedroom bridal style and tucked her in. With one last look at the sleeping blond, Scarlet walked out and back to the kitchen. Mira settled a piece of cake and some tea cups onto the counter. Her crossed arms were on the counter with her head down.

“ We have to do something. I don’t know how much she can take when she wakes up and Natsu and Nashi aren’t home.”

“Mira, the only thing we can do now is protect the two of them. We will do as we were instructed. Natsu can handle this on his own.” Erza said to Mira. Still, Erza wondered where Natsu was at that very moment. Happy left two hours ago looking for Natsu. He explained how he has always been by Natsu’s side and he wasn’t going to stop now.

It was getting late so both women started getting ready for bed. Erza slept in the bedroom in a chair next to Lucy to keep watch. Mira was in the living room. For the days after, they settled into an easy routine. Lucy would wake up, eat, sleep, use the bathroom and worry. Erza would stand watch and Mira Jane would comfort Lucy. A week later, Wendy came by with Porlyusica to check on the baby. Everything was fine. Their baby girl would be due any day now.

Two days later, Happy returns with a large smile on his face.

“ Lucy, Mira, Erza! He found Nashi! Natsu found her and they’re coming home. Lucy, she’s alive and well. Natsu found her in the bad guys cabin. It was under spelled by powerful ruins but Natsu found her.”

Natsu appears ten minutes later with little baby Nashi all swaddled up in her daddy’s arms. Lucy runs to Natsu and Nashi, well as fast as she can with her pregnancy. She embraces her family and cries tears of joy and relief.

They’re home. They’re both home safe and sound.

Lucy thinks to herself.

“ See Lucy, just like I promised. I brought her home. Our little Princess was a real trooper. She didn’t even cry when it got too hot in the room. I bet she wants to be like her Daddy now. Don’t worry Princess. I will always rescue you. I will always be there for you.”
